1. Stop cutting trees.
2. Plant more trees.
3. Reduce the population of goats and cattle (or control their movement), as they eat off lots of newly budding plants.
4. Most importantly, educate people about importance of greeneries. (right from the politicians to the laymen)

These things will spread greenery.

*gasp* PRESENTS PRESENTS PRESENTS!!! :D 1) Where are major mountain ranges? Rivers and lakes? Deserts? Forests, tropical and otherwise? Grasslands and plains? ---Synchra is rather flat. There were a good amount of forests until about a decade ago there. There's a long river that's been built over so that it isn't seen. The region of Burlix has a little of everything. The ground is fairly rocky/hilly in some places. There's a lot of untouched forests and rivers. 2) If there are imaginary animals (dragons, unicorns, etc.), how do they fit into the ecology? What do they eat? How much habitat do they require? Can they live anywhere, or do they prefer or need specific kinds of climate or terrain? Are they intelligent and/or capable of working spells, talking, etc.? ---There are dog spirits, and that's about it. They accompany a human spirit because she enjoys them and she's kind to them. They don't need to eat, but they must live only with the human spirit. Unless the dogs are humanized. Which one is in the story. Humanized, he cannot talk. He's very good with hot weather and rocky terrain. 3) Which natural resources, if any, have been depleted in which areas over time? ---Well, Synchra has sort of destroyed most of their forests. Bad Synchra. 4) How far back are there records or tales of historical events? How widely known are these stories? ---When the story starts, it's 7794. Historical events begin year 0, how the world began, what changed it, and where magic came from. Though I think I'm leaving that out of the novel. The human spirit is real, but her story dates back to the 4000's era or around there. 5) Where did civilization begin? What directions did it spread? How was its development affected by the presence of magic (assuming there's magic in your world)? The presence of non-human races, if any? The actions or direct interventions of the gods? ----Civilization doesn't actually begin until about the 1000's era. Though there are four regions of the world in total, the story focuses on two. At the other two regions, the world's creator and a creation meant to be like the creator live secluded from Synchra and Burlix. After the creation displeased the creator, it created the human race. 6) How many languages are there? Which ones are related (e.g., the Romance languages) and why? Which languages borrow words or phrases from other languages? Which is likely to be most widely spoken? ---There are ultimately two. The one the creator speaks, and the one humans speak. No humans know of the first. 7) How do most people make a living here? ---In Synchra, you're assigned a job. If you don't like it, you can be reassigned one. It's usually local jobs - my MC works as a bakery assistant. At Burlix, you're on your own. 8) Does the weather or climate contribute any habits or customs, such as the mid-afternoon siesta in hot countries? ---They associate rain with something bad. So there are rain shelters all across Synchra to protect people. Burlix doesn't use rain shelters because they deal with the rain's effects differently. 9) What customs surround a birth and the introduction of a new child to the family? Is the mother sequestered for some period? Is the child? Is there a formal presentation of the new child to parents, grandparents, overlord, priest? Is a feast and celebration declared, or does everyone keep a low profile to keep from attracting demons or bad luck? ---In Synchra, a new citizen file is started for the baby. There are not really any other customs, but they do celebrate the birth of a child. At Burlix, sometimes babies are hidden because the parents may not be actual registered citizens of Burlix. 10) What dishes are considered holiday food? What foods/drinks are associated with particular holidays, events (e.g., funerals, weddings) or times of the year? ---They don't have brand food. It's all stuff we eat though. Potatoes, carrots, cookies, bread, meat, etc. BQ1: What is your character's status in their society? ---Isaac is between middle class and lower class. BQ2: Is this reflected in their appearance? ---Well, his clothes are okay. He can take a shower everyday. Poor is more so determined by what house you can afford (in Synchra and Burlix I mean). BQ3: I've been gone a long, long time. How are you doing?? ---I'm doing okay. You? :)

We need not spread greenery. We just need to stop cutting trees and begin using resources wisely and not grossly. Rest will follow by itself.Even if each one of us plants a sapling each.
Greenery will spread by itself.
