It's like the chicken and the egg question, since we are the ones killing it.

dont worry the planet will survive ,but it is unlikely that we will
many predictions are for the years between 2012 and 2020
Nostradamus, the mayas ,Egyptions Jesus ,and Terrance Mckennas time wave who put the magnetic out put of the world in to a computor projection that stopped at zero in 2012,this stops the globe and it starts turning into
the other direction ,the resulting change of currents will turn the planet into a giant washing machine cleaning the surface
then there are the meteor showers you mentioned ,the gulf of Mexico is the result of one that would have made life exstinct for a while ,this would result in an other ice age if the globe is covered in dust
then there are natural disasters
Volcanos are coming to life everywhere
the weather has giant storms like hurricanes ,tornados ,tidal waves ,earth quackes
a shift of the earth crust ,like a changing of the poles
under Anrarctica were found fosilized tropical plants indication the pole must have been in a different place then (the mainland atlantis is thought to be under it )
Now we got Global warming to contend with (see my answer on global warming)
and the USA appears to be gunning for a global nuclear conflict .it is most likely that this will get us first looking at present politics
but the planet will probably survive unless humanities bombs result it to be knocked out of its orbit
so many ends to choose from
if it wasnt so serious it would be rediculous
meanwhile enjoy life .and make the most of it at least we are all in the same boat

Life, as we know, survives within very limited boundaries of all conditions and materials required to support it. It would take very little by way of any changes in that balance to severely affect all life on earth. Note, I said life as we know it. We, and said life could die, by our definition, but a new 'life' form, which could evolve and thrive in the new environment, could 'make it'. We really have no idea what the fate of humankind or our planet will be. However, it would appear that with the advent of we 'enlightened humans' that the UNnatural use of our planet began. I do believe our biosphere, if you will, has and will continue to undergo periodic modifications, some due to minor occurences and others of cataclysmic proportions. Most of these will be caused by conditions over which we have no control, but others, in our control, we definitely have the ability to foresee and change before we ultimately destroy life, as we know it. The ultimate demise of our world (people and planet) may be inevitable, but I think we should do our best not to hasten its arrival. Remember, the history about which know anything, is but an infinitesimal time in the history of our world.
To your original question - unless 'the end' was to be the result
of some earth-wide cataclysm I am sure that humans would all perish long before the planet 'died'.

If you believe what the bible says, then you believe the world will not end, and people will be stopped, judged, and Christ will rule over a perfectly restored earth from new Jerusalem for all eternity. If you believe the Bible, then you know the signs of the last days of the age. Stop speaking negatively and worrying about the falsehoods of the secular world, yes do your part to try to conserve the creation, and start saying that Christ will return, and straighten it all out. In fact pray that he does, as it is in his word
If their was no God, their would be no earth,or man

Every living thing dies...
We find this on archeological findings, human will die as a race either from sef destruction or nature everything will end.
Maybe not the next generation but if we spand 10 human generations then it would not look good for us.
IT DOES NOT TAKE MILLIONS OF YARS UNTIL EARTH TO DIE...IT TAKES BILLIONS, THATS WHY EARTH IS 4.5 BILLION YEARS OLD.

many many species have come into this world (earth) and haven't survived. Dinosaurs for example. But the world still survived. I believe if we push enough we will eventually end up killing ourselves. Maybe not by global warming but definately by something man made (i.e. nuclear bomb). I think then, when we are gone, the world will heal itself.
