im doing a class project and i need some really good answers to this question

it depends on the surroundings of said fruit.

it depends on the moisture content of the air around it, the temperature....

If its for a project then the *really* good answer is do the experiment. Get some fresh fruit and leave it for a few weeks and observe it.

Maybe have some undamaged fruit in a cool room. Try varying things like put others in warm rooms or bruise them to see if that makes a difference.

Like the others have mentioned there are different factors to consider...humidity, temperature, spores present in the air and what I can add is whether the fruit is grown conventionally with the use of pesticides, fungicides, herbicides... or grown organically. The chemicals used will also affect the growth of mold.
I really don't think there is one answer to really satisfy your question...it would have to be answered with a first-hand observation of different environments and different fruit.

well that depends, if its in the freezer than a loooong time. If its in the sun than not long at all. If its in your fridge then I'd give it 2 weeks or so. It also depends on the type of fruit your talking about, strawberries would grow mold a lot faster than a orange or apple. :)
