I don't understand the big fuss. What's wrong with reducing the amount of harmful greenhouse gases we release into the air? If we can responsibly cut the amount of greenhouse gases and pollutants we put into the air, what harm does that do? Why shouldn't we drive hybrid cars, recycle, use LED lights, buy energy efficient appliances? And these suggestions are for individuals and don't effect the business world. I'm just curious as to why we shouldn't be working toward a cleaner more efficient Earth.

It's incredibly discouraging that people have managed to politicized the issue so much that many people simply don't believe because it doesn't fall into the prepackaged Conservative ideals. Just because you believe in the science (and if you say it's "junk science" please provide a peer reviewed scientific report to support your claim) doesn't make you some liberal hippie. This is a moral issue and even the Evangelicals are on the side of science.

If global warming is a result of excess carbon dioxide and unburned fuel additives/metals/detergents from engines,
why do we always hear about vehicles on the ground and
never hear about jet aircraft flying 25,000 - 35,000 feet up
in the air. Don't they place about as much carbon monoxide and dioxide into the upper atmosphere as automobiles and trucks on the ground? Isn't a lot of that ground based polution diluted or eliminated by trees on the ground?

A. From a distance, you view an engineer driving a stake in the ground at a rate of one stroke per second; the sound of the blows on the stake are synchronized with the blows you see. After the hammering, you hear one more blow. What is the frequency of the hammer blows?!

B. Certain fish in mangrove swamps catch insects by shooting a stream of water at the insect, causing it to fall into the water. Where should a submerged fish aim a stream of water to hit an insect it sees on a leaf above the water: above the insect, below the insect, or directly at it? Explain.

I've searched everywhere and asked so many people and I can't get a straight answer. I don't feel right throwing them out with the regular trash.

Consider global warming, pollution, endangered animals and their habitats. Humans keep growing and spreading like ants. Do you think there will come a time when nature decides enough is enough? Maybe we will become the endangered species if we are faced with earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, droughts, floods, volanic eruptions and new uncurable/fatal diseases. I think one day, nature is going to hit the "reset" button.

I live in CT on the coast, rich in some areas with radon gas. When buying a house a Radon test is recommended. If over the test of 48 house the average amount of radon gas is over the law limit, the seller is required to put in a radon system which is almost $2,000. and rather unsightly, and requires maintenence My sources say there is no documented proof of death by cause of radon, and another engineer friend took a radon system apart and said it really seems to be a bunch of baloney. I am asking you for true and documented proof. Thanks.
