We all know the Earth has cycles of periods of weather & climate. In the distant future are we going to be crying out against global cooling? I can see it now, "Pollution causing global cooling!!!!". Sure we may speed the process up a bit, but it's going to happen either way, literally. Right?

We have a small river by the house. I would like to wirelessly monitor flow, temp and level of stream. All i can seem to find through search are industrial flow sensors. I do not need "continuous" monitoring, but a system of reliable wireless sensors with medium/long battery life (1-2 years).

What is the best solution to my problem ?

I work for a company that uses many, many computer monitors and we take off the stands that are on the back of the monitors and mount the monitor. Normally we throw away the stand that it's on. I would like to find a way to recycle these as we have thrown away over 300 and it's still good material. Is there a place that will accept hard plastic and be able to do something with it?
