If you want to catch up with the science involved review the references given. Remember the people saying the world is melting are the same ones who let Dan Rather go on the air and disgrace himself.

Yes it is the effect of global warming. Polar bears are drowning and native Eskimos cannot fish because the ice tundra is melted. It is pretty sad. Wait, sorry, Bush says there is no global warming. People say that warming is good for us. Just don't live in a coastal city. It may not be there in 30 years

I don't think you're going to get any serious answers to this one, the way the question is phrased.

There's been a lot of research underway for the last decade or so, and more funding has become available in recent years.

I know the site is trying to appeal to a general audience, but try and phrase the question in such a way as to generate more substantial answers. That's what we're looking for here, isn't it? But first we have to identify the scope of the problem.

yes, and it's VERY SAD! the whole ecosystem is messed up. poor polar bears and penguins... just me trying to be environmental friendly will never be enough because there are lots of people out there who don't believe global warming, which makes me really mad. everyone needs to be educated on this issue and hopefully they will wanna start doing something about it.

really dont give a ****. I throw my trash in the creek, let my sewage run into the river, and chunk my used oil on the side of the road. i dont care and niether do 75% of the world.
