I beleive that anyone can learn just about anyhing if they put thier mind to it (handicapped aside), I think smart people just catch on a little quicker than others. I think being wise is an accumulation of all the things that a person has learned over his or her life. What do you think dummy?

I am wondering where I can find out which states NY has reciprocity agreements with? I already know where I want to move to but I need a list for a project I am doing. And well, I may not get hired in my choice of state though either so this would also help me with that too.

Sc. & Engg.)... I'm so much frustrated that I've almost left studies. Now my class test r knocking soon, I can't concentrate on studies even now... help. What 2 do?

If there's any teacher or professors, plz suggest me something...

I find it annoying none of my teachers accept handwritten work. No - I dont find it annoying, I find it unprofessional (i guess I could put it). We came into this world without computers and before them everybody was handwriting stuff. Who made it a rule that everyone must type their homeworks, notes, etc?

I also have a niece that is 7 and is in 1st grade, last week she got 11 wrong and 0 right on the test that to know what the words are she couldn't say any of the words. My sister said that she went over the words but my niece is still not learning the words and any ideas to teach her. My sister said she had her write the words down, say the words but she is jnot doing good on saying what the words are and she is been getting low scores on the oral words to look at the words and she can't say the words. I am afraid she will get behind more if she doesn't get the help she needs now and i don't want her to get so behind that she will not be at the level the other kids are at, that is what my family said.

What age or grade do teachers say that a child needs to be tested if they have any special needs? I am just wondering.

Here's my situation. I teach flute lessons, usually through the high school band program. I interviewed exactly 2 weeks back. The interview went well. I was even told I was the top candidate. However, I have heard nothing since. About 3 days after the interview, I emailed the thank you / follow up letter, and heard nothing back. After a bit over a week had passed, I called and the director said they had not made a decision yet, but that it would be very soon. Another week has passed. I didn't want to bug him with a phone call, but I DID send another, "I'm still very interested in the job" email, with no response.

I'm paranoid because during the interview, he told me about a couple of candidates that were NOT a match for them, and said he was just going to "not call them back".

I think that's rude! A rejection letter is at least appropriate.

Should I call the guy again? Any suggestions?
(Useful ones, NOT just smart a** comments please.)

Thanks!

For instance, the child failed in Science bec of her teacher who happened to embarass her in class in several occasions and the teacher had only 3 students who passed in the final exam out of 35 students. The child from the start was put in to shame by the adviser and teacher. Never the child received any failing marks in all subjects since grade one and only this time in her first year that she experienced such.

What if I had just found out that a fifth grade school teacher in my community who is 30 years old had a child with a 21 year old and now wants the 21 year old to sign away his parental rights because she does not want her job or family to find out the father is only 21? My moral issue is: what kind of woman is this to be teaching our fifth grade students. Should the school board know about this?
