Have you given up teaching? Or have you just decided to do something else because of the lack of job offers? What are you doing for a living?

If you go back to school to get the credits needed to be a principal...do you have to have experience as a teacher to land a job?
I have 4 years teaching experience however
I believe PA. requires 5 years of teaching experiencewithin PA before allowing certification as a principal. Is that true?

Also do other states require this?

Would you ever date a Graduate student... one who is Not in your class (or no longer is) . Yeah, I know it 's 'unethical' or whatever, but if you go beyond that and it is someone you have a lot common with, would you? (if you're unmarried of course)

I teach English in rural Japan. I'm often asked to pick one aspect of British culture to teach them. It's so difficult to define British culture, and yet it's so difficult to explain multiculturalism to Japanese kids and adults!! What positive stuff would you teach and how?

Do any teachers have online resources they would recommend for English communication lessons.
I would prefer resources for adult students learning conversational English. Students would already have a general background and intermediate comprehension level.

Thanks in advance!

This year I am teaching 4th and 5th grade math and wanted my welcome bulletin board to be "fishy". I have a really cute border and desk tags to match. I am looking for a phrase I can use - I really want it to have something to do with math, but can refer to fish, ocean, sea, anything aquatic. Thanks!

I was at a workshop and we used these rulers that had the middle cut out and had a sliding device that you put the pencil in so you could use the ruler as a compass. (Holding one end of the ruler and moving the pencil, created a perfect arc.) I think they would be great for my class but don't know where to find them. Does anyone know where I can order them?

Here again, I am trying to resolve a friendly disagreement within the family. One side says that "widget" is a common term that everyone should know. The other side says that "widget" is only used by geeks. Of course, there was a comment about when average people learn the meaning of the term or first come into contact with the term. So, to resolve the question, we need to know both parts. Does an average person know what a widget is and when does an average person learn its meaning. Thanks.
