The book of Revelation tells us a lot. It tells of false religion's destruction, Satan's being outcast from heaven, a time when there will be no more death, the ressurection, and more. But Jusus said this about when the end will be here, "Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, nether the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father." (Matthew 24:36). The Book of Revelation (without the “s” at the end) was written by John during his exile. John wrote his letters to early Christian followers using a form of encryption to reduce persecution from the Romans. Presumably, John was writing about current events of his time to keep the faith strong in early Christians. However, during the ages, different translations of The Book of Revelation has been interpreted as the “End Times”.

I'm assuming you're referring to Revelations...? As a non-Christian, I consider the Bible a book much like Hesiod's Theogeny, part creation story and part moral guideline. I think Revelations is less a prediction and more a warning-- a metaphor for humanity's fate should Christ ever be forgotten. Revelations is a very controversial book with a problematic history, both within and without the church; much of the controversy arises from exactly the problem of its interpretation, which has been subject to abuse.
