1) I'm unaware of present protests. The major protesting took place back in May.

2) Of course they do pay taxes; taxes are taken out of their checks same as ours, but there's no way for those using fake SSN's to claim refunds, so in some places there are surpluses that are funneled into other endeavors. There are also programs now where they pay with a separate ID.

3) Many illegal immigrants come from war-torn countries and would be killed in their homelands. Think about African nations or abusive systems in East Asia.

4) It would cost so much more to send people back to wherever they came from than to find a way to accomodate them that it would only hurt our economy.

they do pay taxes....money is taken out of their checks just like you and I....but they never get income taxes. The truth is..they help the economy here. They go to the store just like you and I..they use electric...etc. Sure they send money home...but it is not that much compared to how much they are putting into the economy here. (If it weren't for them the border patrol people would be jobless!!) I have met several immigrants (legal or illegal doesn't matter) and the truth is ..they are sweet people that just want to give their kids a better life than they had.

Just answer one thing:
have you applied for one of the following jobs....?
fruit picker
horse poop picker-upper
janitor

if you answered no, then you have no right to say that they stole your job...because they do the jobs pricks like you are too good to do

they are protesting to stay in our country and to get on social secruty to take it away from americans who need that money. Plus they are taking away jobs from americans who need the job's. I wish the law enforcement would put them in jail, but they are probably using them for their benefit so they could get cheap labor which is the sad part. But I sure hope not. Its just very hard to say these days. There are to many of them here in Oregon and Washington state.

That's a good question, for that matter, why are we LETTING them protest? Legally they have absolutely no rights in this country. They are non-entities and should be treated as such.

Why are there illegal immigrants here in the first place? Damnit.

And FYI to those of you complaining, this is in reference to "illegal" immigrants, not general immigrants. (So stop overreacting and calling others "crackers").
