Dark doesn't actually go anywhere as it doesn't exist. Dark is the absence of light so turning a light on fills a room with light - it doesn't force the dark out or get rid of it in some other way.

What a silly question. Light bulbs create a vacuum that sucks the darkness out of a room.

Dark is not a thing. Dark is absense of a thing. Actually dark is absence of light.

Cold is the same. There is no 'cold'. Cold is lack of heat in the same way that dark is absence of light.

You have enough good answers. I once saw a sign on a photographer's dark room door that read:
"Please keep door shut. When it's open all the dark leaks out"

But really, light is not an object of any kind. it is light that disappears when you turn it off. darkness is just a spot devoid of light.

when there is dark there is a lack of energy, so the dark doesn't really go anywhere, it gets filled up.
