Although you will probably get as many different answers as people....

Some would say...body and soul.....unlikely, as this negates the infinite nature of god....

Some would say.....mind and soul ....that is, thought and spirit...maybe a bit closer to the meaning

Some would say that this passage is meant as an analogy....that man has the potential to share in the spirit/soul and the infiniteness of god

Others might suggest that the very ambiguous nature of the reference is intentional....and is intended to get the listener/reader to create their own "mystic" experience

The least plausible answer seems to be the literal one...."image" and "glory" are NOT the original words...maybe the best understanding rests with the original words

The most traditional (yet seemingly misguided) interpretation is that 'image' literally means how we look.

So as if God looked like a human male- except probably much hotter than the average male.

A more open way to look at it would be that our soul is of the same nature or is moulded from his.

No matter what it is open to a large number of interpretations dont let people pidgeon hole you.

when dealing with the Bible its the meaning you take from it, there is no one way to define it. Many people will have many different views.
