I would like to now the power of the student's voice, be it through an organization of students or a school captain. What power does this voice really have compared to the other governing bodies of the school? Is it perhaps just a cover to keep the students happy while they don't have any power what so ever? Is it merely another revenue raiser? What drastic changes have students made in their schools? What victories have the students won?

I am a student studying in the XIth standard, but have done MSc Mathematics. My parents say I should not concentrate on higher studies right now, and should concentrate more on my XIth & XIIth grade exams. But I'm too interested in higher Maths to do so. What should I do next ? Please help me.

Our program isn't just-participation...we have push-up and sit-up tests, which I pretty much fail. Running too.
I had a B last time I checked, probably a C now. I'm acing all my other classes, but I do worry if the C will affect my GPA.

My friends and I have a tutoring group and we are trying to advertise for it. What's the best way to do this. We have a flyer in the library but we haven't gotten any calls or anything. Do you have any suggestions on what we should do . I want to ask the librarian if we could put something in the kids section of the library too because I think it might be better and attract more business. Is there anyway to advertise online? (Besides YahooAnswers) Without having to create a website or give out personal information? Please help!!
