If so what types of documents do I require to have him registered for school?

Make sure you have copies of your child's transcripts as well as health records - making sure your child is up to date on all her/his shots is very important.

in addition to transcripts, health records and identity documentation, you may need to find a private school because the public schools tend to have quotas for visiting students. most likely, you will be required to pay tuition even for public schooling.

a lot will depend upon where you will visit and when.

because both public and private schools are locally based, i suggest you seek information from the city or town where you will visit -- most have web sites containing useful information.

as for time of year, the more lead time you have the better.

i have included the web site address for lincoln high school, lincoln, nebraska, as an example. it is a good public high school that welcomes diversity.
