My child goes to a private school in Mississippi and we have to pay a fee for drug testing. Not every student is tested, just random students, but every parent must pay the fee. Is this legal or am I getting another screwing?

With children of 10 and 11 years being taught the mechanics and knowing the techniques through the question and answer sessions in lessons, is it causing the problem rather than improving it (teenage pregnancies, promiscuity etc). Is the liberal attitude to this subject to blame or should schools be teaching "morals" (eg no sex before marriage)?

I recently decided I want to teach English at GCSE level. The only (big) problem is that I'm in the second year of a Sociology degree. Although I don't think it's quite as worthless as some of the people who have posted answers on previous questions do, I'm quite aware that it's going to pose a problem.
I took it because I enjoyed it at A-Level and everyone said how it leads to just about everything (lies) and now I'm a bit stuck because English is the subject I always enjoyed and was good at but it's a bit late to change my degree now...
I did English Lit at A-Level if that helps...??

The vicar asked me to organise a quiz for village primary school: "Modern Rights & Wrongs".

The last event I organised--"Badgers for Kids"--ended in disaster and the vicar has insisted that I "keep it relevant to village current affairs and do some research this time."

Please give me your opinion!

My son that's 14 is in grade 9 and is not doing well, When he was in grade 3 they told me he was at a grade 7 level reading and math, So in know his not dump, but when he reached grade 5 he started to lose interest not doing work in class not bringing any work home, I would stay up with him till 12 sometimes bushing him to do it, he would start but before long he would just stare at the ceiling thinking of other things. well last year we moved to another country and his had to learn a new language, well its been a year and we have been trying very hard to help him out, with tutors 4 days a week, witch is cousting us a lot of money. We had a talk with his teachers and he is up to the same old stuff, not handing in papers, not writing down what is on the board, handing in blank exames. But when it come to talking with freinds his fine. Don't know want to do, how do I get him to start taking school seriously?
