I never got straight A's, and didn't like it in school, but after being part of history for a few decades I now find it very interesting.
I think school often takes this exciting subject and makes it drudgery by forcing us to memorize dates instead of seeing the sweep of events that history is.
It is not always well taught. I could probably teach it better than most professors do.

lol i got my first ever real, end-of-year examination A and i was hysterical. Overall i do actually enjoy history. I love finding out about the past and wars and struggles etc. Only problem is i never get the facts just right, or i miss out some details or mess up the years and get the whole qn wrong. i think history, though u need a lot of understanding as well as memorisation for years and names etc and my brain doesnt enjoy doing the latter. :)

I love history, I'm even graduating with a BS in History, Secondary Ed in May. I love it when teachers are passionate enough about it that you just recall their lectures instead of having to memorize everything. The best history class I have ever had was Napoleonic Europe because the teacher was great.

history is the subject i like the least. along with biology.
only memorization.
though some teachers make history and biology very interesting. :D

I mean just cuz you get good grades doesnt mean you need to like it

i dont like it. at least not history of Mexico. its boring and i hate to memorize all the dates and the funny names. EWW!

i loved history in high school ... military history is amazing also .. if you school offers it chek it out ... maybe u should further ur passion for history in college and then some ...? :)
