I am interested in teaching high school social studies, primarily US history, and I saw brochures and read some info on the alternate route to teaching, but I am still not sure about it? Any advice, tips?? Also, if I did take the alternate route how would I get the valuable classroom experience to effectively teach students?

Hi, I just started a high school computer club and we do not have any ideas on what we should do for the club or what contribute to our school. Do you any ideas for activities, events, or something that we can do to promote computer and technology?

So far our school has a website and we are trying to get the approval to do it from the school district. We decided no to Lan Party, since it is to big of a problem for our school. But the idea to build old computers for the needy sounds great. One idea we have is to give out ubuntu CDs and teach how to use Linux

So I just want an idea of what to do for the club

My grandson is 5 years old and in kindergarten. He is having some symptoms of dyslexia and occasionally has periods of stuttering. But nothing truely consistent. He is very smart and comprehends well it seems. His thought processing is very good as far as I can tell. I guess I am trying to say it doesn't appear that he has any true learning disabilities. I am curious if there is any relation between the two problems.

I was just wondering what are some of the activities/events that seniors (or really just the school in general) put on. I am asking because our school just finished our big Thanksgiving Giving and Senior Auction but until Prom there isn't much else going on. I would just like suggestions so that we could possibly incoorporate them into our school. Also, do you have any ideas for a Senior trip?

I need advice about how to build a constructive dialogue with my son's 1st-grade teacher. She's a really nice person and tries hard, but she and I disagree on some things and I'd like to be able to discuss those things respectfully but also openly. So I'd like a teacher's perspective on the best way for a parent to approach the issue when there is some disagreement. I have HUGE respect for teachers--my mom taught for over 40 years and if she were still around, I know she'd give me good advice. But will you give me yours instead? Please, only if you yourself are a teacher. Thank you.
