I knew someone who got fired because they did not have a HS diploma...They lied on their application...and someone told on them...
Also, in Canada, in one province, if you quit school and are under 18, they will not hire you at any fast food restaurants...MacDonald's for sure...The idea is to keep people in school, I guess...
There are a lot of jobs or even colleges that will not accept you, even as a mature student, with no diploma...
I also know if you are homeschooled a lot of universities and colleges won't accept you because you have no accredited diploma...
A person should get their high school, at the very least.

Many on-line diplomas are valid. you should examine that any on-line colleges that you're thinking is suitable accepted. Many employers and some colleges look down on even valid on-line classes and diplomas./

I belive all or most of the military branches now require HS diploma rather than GED. Better to have diploma and choose your own options, than be denied options due to lack of a diploma.

Uuummmm..... Nope my brother doesn't have a diploma and he has gotten good jobs the problem with him is that he is lazy and a party animal, he never makes it on time..thats why he never keeps his job Lol :)
