Hi, I just started a high school computer club and we do not have any ideas on what we should do for the club or what contribute to our school. Do you any ideas for activities, events, or something that we can do to promote computer and technology?
So far our school has a website and we are trying to get the approval to do it from the school district. We decided no to Lan Party, since it is to big of a problem for our school. But the idea to build old computers for the needy sounds great. One idea we have is to give out ubuntu CDs and teach how to use Linux
So I just want an idea of what to do for the club

Yes. Go get 50 24's of Vodka, a buttload of pop, some strippers, and have a party for the school. Because chances are, you guys are probably not the most popular.

get your lap tops out and go to senior citizens centers and help them with the stuff they need to do online.
Mentor little kids on computers.
Clean the computers at school that are being used.
refurbishing computers for the poor is great.
