I'm in Year 7. There's a girl in my class named Grace, and she is gay. I want to tell her that she disgusts me.
How should I tell her?

Are we putting so much information into children's brains too quickly that when they grow up their creativity will be greatly diminished or that they will have less ability to think?

Will they grow up to be mindless drones who only do what others tell them to or follow the same routines as others?

Or is it better?

teacher will only speak French...my daughter is totally lost. She is not in French Immersion and all the previous French teachers just taught the basic stuff. I'm going to the "open house" tomorrow at her school and will be seeing all her teachers. Should I speak to her about this or just hope for the best?

I do well in my science classes when it comes to individual work/reading/homework, but when it comes to hands-on work, I'm always the slowest in the group! I'm constantly having to ask my group questions, like "Oh, what are we supposed to do" "What is this used for?" "What was the measurement for whatever" "How do I set this up?" "Should I do this"? I don't know what it is, everyone else seems so much more take-charge than me, and I'm kind of sitting around writing down what everyone else is writing, not participating at all. Consequently, I am excluded and no one has me do anything. This is not good if I plan to be a doctor.

Hi, Im gonna be graduating in January 2007, (Inshallah) from a US High school and I want to be a doctor, and I heard its Cheaper and quicker in Pakistan (MBBS) than here (8yrs + 3 yrs residency, MD). And I was wondering are there any medical colleges that start off in the spring term in pakistan?. And will they accept me I have a roughly 85% (by January) which I am told is a 3.2 GPA.

In my math I have a Cumulative : 78% (failed 1 class which counted as 4 credits, while I have a 90 in the rest) No math this year because I failed Math once and I can't get into AP Calculus with that Although I would really want to take a Calculus course, but I find that I can't take it anywhere.
In my Sciences I have a cumulative: 80% (Physics,Chem,Bio all taken before junior year) This year Im taking AP Enviromental Science which is double period, and I hate it.

Chem: 75
Physics: 85
Bio: 87
Eng: 85
I would like to go to basically any medical college in Peshawar. IBCC lowers 20% grades. thnx

What are your thoughts on bullying in children

Should children tell the teacher/adult or learn to cope with it themselves?

my thoughts:
-These are an opinion of what I have, they may not be nice but it's the truth in my opinion.

I think that children should learn to cope with bullying. The sooner, the better. Chances are that if this kid is bullied now, when he gets older, he is probably not going to escalade into popularity and is most likely going to get bullied anyways. Telling a teacher or parent is probably the stupidest thing to do (unless it gets out of hand with violence, etc) mainly because it wont help you and will have the bullies hate you even more so that there is no room for making up in the future. If you are bullied, I think that you should learn to cope with it and make the joke yourself first. Joke around and act like it is all a joke when they make fun of you. Acting silent will only worsen it. Telling a teacher is such a dumb thing to do dontca think?

Kid's tv wasn't as violent
Cartoon characters were simple to understand
Sweets were bigger than today
The bigger the sports bag the cooler the kid
Dunlop or Hitech trainers weren't cool
Action Man was the only pressie i wanted
First pair of footy boots were from a car boot and 3 sizes too big
ALCOHOL WAS SOMETHING YOUR DAD DRANK AT CHRISTMAS
Mobile phones were house bricks
Alien was a scarey film
You were scared of school teachers and had respect for them (personally speaking)
Status at school depended on how fast you could run not what phone you had
Perms and Spikey hair were cool.....strange
Sam Fox was a babe....even stranger

................any more thoughts pls?

Can anyone help? I am a teen. My Grandmother of whom I was very close to died about 4 years ago. Only the thing is I still haven't really come to terms with it.The thing is when she died I I ended up due to circumstances an awful amout of high school. Therefore I missed pretty much all of my religious education and therefore I don't really understand where she's gone. I hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question (only I just wondered because I missed such a lot of school) but do they give a good all-round general education in Religion in High schools??
What sort of things about religion do they teach you?
CAN ANYONE POSSIBLY HELP?????

Im a college student at a university in Texas I won't say the name (*arlington). I just started my 3rd year and thinking about transfering. Im a film major but not sure if that's what i should do. I like the directing aspect of it but especially am interested in animation but I admit i don't draw as much as I claim. I like animals, cooking and computer stuff but don't see myself making money in those except computer stuff but I am not so good in math anymore but I am getting better. Don't get me wrong, I'm not in it for the money I just don't want to be another college kid who spends years in college to end up working at the Gap. Back to my question. Im thinking about transfering to a different University-UTAustin but I don't know If I should. Im thinking about changing my major or adding one on. The school I am at now wasn't my first choice and I am wondering do I want to do this for my well being or because all the UT hipe. It's a good school and all but. Do Credit transfers.

I recently moved English class because I was uncomfortable with the people in the class and felt I was being made fun of. I have been moved into a class where i get on great with everybody, but my teacher talks about sex more than I feel is appropriate. I don't want to move class again as it took me long enough to get moved in the first place. Any suggestions on what to do next? Thanks
