GPA for admission to honors classes is higher because the classes are more difficult than regular classes.

Depends on your school. Most schools do give an increase in a students gpa for students taking honors or AP classes, but at my school, I get a higher class ranking. So, just depends but there are advantages to taking harder classes, besides the knowledge you will gain.

At my school an A is worth 4 points in regular level, 5 in honors and 6 in AP

It can be. Some honors and advanced placement classes are graded out of 5 grade points rather than 4. So if you get an A, you can get a gpa greater than 4.0.

You go from a 4. scale to a 5 or 6 point school depending on the school

yeah if i didn't take honors i would have a 3.8 but with honors i have about a 4.8
