Cambridge sucks!
why do our exam paper come from Cambridge? why not Harvard!

I'm not talking about religon. I have my own religous beliefs, but I dont need some religon to tell me that killing is wrong or stealing is wrong. Parents didnt want morals taught in school but they are not teaching them at home, so kids are growing up thinking there IS no right and wrong. We could teach kids morals that everyone could agree on, regardless of their religion or politics.

The sack lunches my mom made were pretty standard - sandwich, chips, cookie, fruit, juicebox. I'd eat the chips at recess and usually throw the fruit away.

I got to thinking the other day: what is the worst lunch a mom could make? Keep in mind the basics -- a main dish, something salty, something sweet, and something to drink. What's the worst possible combination, Nutritionally speaking

My nine year old asked me this. I told him for practice in breaking down math problems generally into smaller components. He wasn't entirely satisfied with that and doubted in real life anyone would need to do this. And in my computer networking work - I have never had to factorialize anything. :-) In college calculus I don't think it came up there either. So why do we "torture" the little guys with this stuff anyhow? :-) I imagine there is in fact a good answer.

Is there a website I can go on and enter her vocabulary words and have the computer help her pronounce and sound the words outs. I think she is struggling with reading a little. She loves the computer b/c i had put her in a computer class during the summer,so i think she would really enjoy it and learn at the same time.

She scored 4a's in her yr 4 sats, can play the clariet like a 3rd yr student although she's only been at it a year, swims so well that she's been moved to the highest class she can go to etc..It scares me becase I don't know how to keep her challenged or should I ? She is also getting very mouthy and cocky. Help!!

she had a spelling test and got none right and my niece studies and everything but she said she can't remember that is why she gets none right. Could there be something wrong that can cause you to study and study but still can't remember how to spell words. She is in 1st grade. The teacher says that she got upset during the spelling test , she is having alot of trouble in school.
Her mom told her tat she got a F on her paper and she was so upset when she was told that and she said she hates spelling test. There is someone working one on one with her. I told her mom she is crying out for help. She had alot of trouble in kindergarten and she is still having alot of trouble and she is in 1st grade.
I love my niece and i want her to get whatever help she can get and i don't like seeing her suffering and having so much of a hard time in school.

Do you have any suggestions and ideas?
Do you think she has any special needs or what?

Please help?
