Hi, Im gonna be graduating in January 2007, (Inshallah) from a US High school and I want to be a doctor, and I heard its Cheaper and quicker in Pakistan (MBBS) than here (8yrs + 3 yrs residency, MD). And I was wondering are there any medical colleges that start off in the spring term in pakistan?. And will they accept me I have a roughly 85% (by January) which I am told is a 3.2 GPA.

In my math I have a Cumulative : 78% (failed 1 class which counted as 4 credits, while I have a 90 in the rest) No math this year because I failed Math once and I can't get into AP Calculus with that Although I would really want to take a Calculus course, but I find that I can't take it anywhere.
In my Sciences I have a cumulative: 80% (Physics,Chem,Bio all taken before junior year) This year Im taking AP Enviromental Science which is double period, and I hate it.

Chem: 75
Physics: 85
Bio: 87
Eng: 85
I would like to go to basically any medical college in Peshawar. IBCC lowers 20% grades. thnx

I am aware that I will have to take the USMLE exam back here in the states. Its a whole lot quicker to get an MBBS(Pakistan 5 yrs total) than a MD (USA 11+ years )

Anyone who get a medical degree from third world countries like Pakistan can't get a job in Europe. Some have to sit more exams because some European countries believe they not up to western standards there medical training. So I think twice about training there.

you would never be a doc here with a degree from Pakistan. Most med schools outside the US does not automatically make one a doctor here. Best check real careful before you waste alot of time and money and then find ou have to do alot of it again.

well its possible. my brother in law got his degree from Peshawar (Khyber Medical College) and later on he specialized from US and was one of the best during his specialization. for addmission in peshawar u need to apear in Entry Test. normally addmissions start from july-august. and it takes 5 years to complete your studies (MBBS)
