I am 16 and I have one more year to go to college. I am going to a community college first, but then I want to transfer to Georgia State University and then most likely to law school. I have heard that a philosophy major is the best preparation to law school. I really love philosphy, but I`m worried that when I get older this major will not get me anywhere significant in my career paths. What if I dont end up going to law school? What good will this major do me then?

it would be 9 credits over an 8 week period and another 3 credit class just for four weeks, but during the same 8 week period.

do you think it would be difficult to do this, or not? I know a full load in the summer is usually considered 6 credits...

I'm thinking about being an A&R Person when I'm older. I really want to start thinking about my future even though I was say that there's enough time because I'm only a freshman. However, by watching and listening to my friend, I think she is right. It is time I start thinking and searching. I took some info from another question on here.
I'm looking for:
Colleges in the NE of the U.S. which offer a degree in music management and marketing
Specifically ones in PA, NY, and heck! MD too.
Thanks.

I just scored 158 on the LSAT, but I am thinking of applying to some schools well above that range because I am an excellent writer and I believe that my personal statement could definitely sway some minds...my question is, would there be disadvantages in attending a school with a majority of students who scored much higher on the LSAT or does it not really matter once you are in school?

Well I have applied to my colleges, UArizona, UColorado, Penn State, UMiami, and Michigan State.

First off, I am from Michigan and I REALLY want to leave the state. I am pretty sure I will be accepted to all of these schools, the thing is the price. Arizona is 13k, where penn state and colorado are 25k and miami is around 40k. Just wondering from the people who already graduated how much emphasis you put on money when you decided which school to go to and how much you WISH you had put on money. I will not be receiving financial aid and everything will be done in student loans.

I am in College now and I have pretty decent grades, mostly A's and B's. I failed one course and I can retake it again, and whatever grade I get, will remain. But I believe the 'F' remains on the transcript itself, but does not count towards my GPA. So how bad will that look? If I keep getting A's and B's, and have one 'F' on the transcript which doesn't count towards my GPA, does it look bad? I want to potentially transfer to USC/UCLA film school.

Suppose my GPA in 9th grade was fantastic, and then 10th was a little downhill, and then 11th was a little more downhill. From 9th - 11th grade, it was all honors courses (school doesn't offer AP until senior year.) Then, senior year, I took all APs an actually did my work and 'Anti-Slacked' for a 3.8 GPA. How important is this to colleges? Will the giant improvement in all AP classes show that I can actually handle the course load, and help the colleges overlook the low period of my GPA?

My grades are OK, not stellar. I want to go to a top tier law school. If I were to participate in Teach for America, would that raise my profile with law schools. Also, could I apply to the law schools before or after the program. Thanks.

I'm taking 6 hrs. next semester in college, & I'm also planning to work a part-time job on campus. With my disability, 6 hrs. alone is stressful for me, but I NEED a job. I wonder how people can go to school full-time & work full-time & have kids? & make 4.0 GPA's? I can barely make a 2.0 with 6 hrs. because of my disability.

***I already have my college degree in Spanish, but my GPA sucks & I can't find a decent job. Now, I'm desperate for ANYTHING. If I were to work @ WalMart or Kroger temporarily, would that make me a loser?

I had mono, so that explains one semester, and then I just had what I equate to a nervous breakdown. Now, I am trying desperately to boost my GPA, but, the best I can hope for is a 3.5 and that's if I get straight As in every single class that I take for the next 3 semesters. How the hell am I going to get into graduate school? And, please don't suggest doing anything other than going to grad school, because, that is just not an option.

This professor of mine was very good! I wanted to let her know so I was thinking of writing her an email saying, "Dear, Dr. So and So, Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy new year. Thanks for making your classes so inspirational."
Take care,
