I am a senior at Howard University (only tier-one Historically Black University in the nation) studying Communication and Culture with a concentration in Speech and Applied Communication and my minor is English. The bulk of my coursework is in communication theory, public speaking and organizational communication. I will likely graduate with a cumulative 3.25 GPA and about a 3.8 GPA in my major coursework. I do have one "D" on my transcript from a horrible experience with a journalism professor who hated my guts and a couple of "C"s from oversleeping 8:00 am classes during freshman and sophomore year. As for extracurriculars, I have volunteered more than 500 hours during my college career (including teaching Sunday school at a local church and feeding homeless D.C. citizens four days per month), I am currently the president of two major campus organizations and I am able to get glowing letters of recommendation from three professors, dean of the chapel and two University Chaplains.

If I have a bunch of F's from one institution- and I attempt to apply and transfer to another. WITHIN the CSU system, will they kow about the bad grades and require a transcript from my time there? Or can I get a fresh start and pretend it never happened?

I'm an Undeclared/Undecided student and I have absolutely no clue what I want to do. Everything seems interesting and the majors I am interested in is sadly not offered as a major in my school, only as minors. Just want to know how other people got inspired to choose their current/past major.

I'm in my late 30's wanting to go back to school to become a nurse. Back in high school I never really applied myself well in anything. Especially math. They are asking me to take Algebra and chemistry as pre requisit courses. I've never taken chemistry and only took pre algebra. I'm finding this to be a huge obstical but still want to acheive this goal. I do seem to have some tremendous anxiouty over this but I can't tell you how bad I want to become a nurse. Any suggestions how to over come this or make this a good experience. Nursing classes don't frighten me. It's mainly the math.

I'm a freshman in college and my major is business.

I am an international student and I am getting really nice grades so far. My wish is to keep up with the good grades and after I graduate, I wish to go on with MBA or higher if possible. It is because I am not happy with the name of my college, I know it has a lot to do and I think that today you need a lot of education if you want to earn a lot of money (but it is prerequisite for everyone, I just wish to go this way).

I wish to find some sources where I can get better insight in post-graduate programs (in USA) for business. I am interested in top schools. Where can I find things like required GPA, price and ranking. I assume that most of you guys will recommend me US news, but I could see only top 5 schools. Do I need to buy US news account to explore more, or there is better way and what are the other options?

I would really appreciate your assistance, THANKS

So, in short, I attended a large university, and near the end of my last semester, I met with my major advisor who looked over my transcripts, checked off that I had satisfied all requirements necessary to graduate, signed it and sent me off. I went to commencement, etc, it was all good.
The next year I started graduate school, and near the end of my first semester they told me that they had yet to get a copy of my undergrad transripts showing a degree. I called my school, and after much ado they told me that, no, they had made a mistake, I had not earned a degree after all.
I told them that I had been following with my advisor, that they had helped me along in choosing classes and making sure I met degree requirements, and they said that person was very sorry, they made a mistake, and I will have to take two additional classes in order to graduate. What happened was, I was very ill and hospitalized during college, which caused me to miss registration one semester. My advisor
