Has anybody ever got and associates degree online and than transferring to a regular four year college? If so when you applied to the four year college or university did they look down on the fact that you got your associates degree online?

If you take your courses from a regionally accredited college that has a presence in the real world (buildings and classrooms) then when you go to transfer, the new school won't know whether you took the courses online or in the classroom. The transcript doesn't say "English 101 online" - it just says "English 101" and has your grade. ☺ Chances are, the school you want to attend for the 4-year teaches classes online too.

If you take your courses from someplace like UoP, AIU, DeVry, etc... then you could face some raised eyebrows and challenges. This isn't because they're online as much as because they don't have such a great reputation among other colleges.

Yes i did, and its completely fine to do so. In fact, most people transfer without the associates degree becasue they are going to Community College for two reasons: A) to save money vs. a 4 yr school, and B) to earn the basic requirement credits (english, match, etc) while paying less and having more 1-1 teacher student time. It also allows them to live at home and work part time. When you transfer, as long as you have more than 24 credits, most colleges will not even look at your high school transcripts & act/sat scores and just look at your college grades.

I don't see why not if you're online school is accredited and your courses are transferrable to a four year college. Good luck!
