I'm a student nurse, one week away from becoming a 3rd year student. I am concerned that no one at my uni has mentioned our nursing portfolio's. Can anyone give me an idea of what should be included. Many thanks xxx

What should I add to a Health Administration degree in order to make more money/broaden my potential for making more money? Is an MBA a good choice? Any licensing I can tack on to increase my earning potential? Are there other recommendations which will make me more money sooner??? I am open to pretty much any suggestions for this one.

My mom got an associates degree in God knows what from a community college, but never used it for anything. Since it was community college, she didn't really have the 'college experience' and isn't helpful at all in me applying for college. My dad never went to college, but did graduate from high school. No one else in my family (immediate or extended) has gone to college. Can I still qualify as a first generation college student? It sure feels like I am one. Can they fact check if I write that my mom doesn't have a degree, or is there a process she can go through to have her degree 'revoked' so that I can use this advantage?

Thanks.

My university honored me to be one of the heroes in the university broucher. I had an interview today. They asked about my education background, experience in the university, professors, students, and alumni.

For education background, I think they misunderstood me. I said, I was majoring in Political Science and minoring in Geography. On the other hand, the interviewer think I was double majors.

Will this be a big deal? Will I get in trouble?

I don't want people to think that I am a dishonest person. Thank you so much for your kindness.

Sorry for the poor grammar. English is my second language.

I need some help here. I've decided to become a Radiologic Technologist but I am also interested in D.M Sonography. I am currently attending a community college because its affordable and they offer a Associated in R.T. and a certificate in D.M Sonography. The R.T program is really hard to get into. The waiting list is like a year long, but its worth it. I know that a associates is better than a certificate but the problem is that the only college that offers a degree in sonography is 4 hours away from where I live at. So my questions is this: Would it be any good to become a R.T first and than go back to school to get a certificate in D.M Sonography? And how come there aren't more schools offering degrees in these fields? I appreciate everyones help and advice. Thanks guys. :)

Access the APA website (www.apa.org) and look up at least 5 Divisions of the APA that you think might be the most interesting areas of psychology in which to have a career. Write a brief description of what each of these divisions does

Discuss the various APA Divisions. Write a breif description of each. What do they do? What is their mission statement? What date was it founded.

I'm on my second year in college, about half way done getting my degree. I'll get into a field that I think I will really enjoy, and will make a decent wage of about $40k a year starting out.
On the other hand, I just found out about a job that I am qualified for. It is in a career field that I didn't like all that much, and I was getting $36k a year. This new job is a little different, but the same idea as my previous job, only this one is offering almost $60,000 a year.
I could skip the education for a while, do a job I don't like, and make mad cash (for this area).
Or continue to be poor for the next 2.5 years, made a decent wage when I graduate, and like what I do.

What would you do?

I spent 6 years in college getting a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science. I'm really starting to loathe it, and really don't feel like I have the "passion" for programming that my colleagues have. I simply hate sitting in front of a computer at work all day.

I was thinking of going back to school to become a Pharmacist. I had quite a few questions, though:

* My local pharmacy school isn't ranked all that well in national rankings -- tied for 27th out of 36 ranked by US News & World Report. Will that be a big problem in finding a good job?
* If I want to "test the waters" by becoming a pharmacy tech, will I need a special degree?
* Is this an expanding field, or is the demand for pharmacists decreasing with online prescription sites?
* Do any major pharmacies or stores with pharmacies offer some sort of tuition reimbursement for becoming a pharmacist?
* What exactly does the job *entail* at a place like CVS or Walgreens?
