Your whole high school file does not get sent to the colleges, just your transcripts with your grades, so unless it is something really serious that the school feels they need to warn people about, or unless your counselor or teachers who might write your references bring it up, the colleges will never know about any behavioral discipline issues.

First take a deep breath. No it will not effect you getting into college if its a one time thing. Make sure that you behave yourself and instead of getting into trouble you need to focus on grades and activities. This is a very critical time in your life were you need get yourself ready for college and if hanging around the wrong crowd is getting you into trouble you should rethink these friends. When I was 17.... I saw that the people I hung with were not good for me and I began to seperate myself from them and focus more on my studies. I now have a BA and work in the fashion industry and live in New York City. They have 1 to 4 kids and still live in a small town 3,000 miles away. Be good and stay on the right track. Never give up! EVER and you will do fine. Blessings always!

Relax. I'm not sure it even asks that on college applications. The tricky part is finding teachers or administrators who will now write your recommendations. Make sure they can see you are really contrite (sorry) and make the rest of the year better.
