I am a new faculty member in one of the universities here in the Philippines. I was embarrasingly dismayed by the paper requirement submitted to me by my student are "cut and paste" directly from a website "word for word" and I say all of my 35 students! Both the contents and analysis were in "cut and paste" fashion.

Hi, I have a high 'lower division GPA' from my previous college (above 3.0) but I have low 'Overall' and 'Upper division' GPA's because I had a bad semester & I screwed it up.

I am afraid that if I put them on my resume they will not consider me for an interview. If I omit them, should I also omit my 'lower division' GPA?? or If I include my 'lower division' GPA, should I also include the bad ones??

I am confident that If I omit them and get an interview I can explain this situation to the interviewer and probably get the job.

I need your opinions,
Thanks

Hi, I have a question about Resumes.
I am US citizen and I Know companies hire few international students. I'm Hispanic so my name is and I think when employers will look at my resume they may link my name to "international student." Is it correct if I put in my resume I am a "US citizen" or "Able to work permanently in the USA." If I put it, will it affect me in any way?
Thank you for your answers.

I just don't find the Nursing curriculum challenging, and when I hear peers complaining about how "hard" it is, it pisses me off! I don't know why, I probably should feel glad that I'm able to grasp the material so easily, but I'm not. I'm like you think this is hard?, You have no effin clue whats coming up then. I was originally going to be a chemical engineer so maybe it's just because I'm really well prepared. I go to a regular 4 year university and plan on getting my BSn then at least a masters, but now i'm unsure because I don't know if im going to be able dealing with co-workers who really don't know about pharmacology/chemistry/biology principles, but rather who are just memorizing common syptoms . What do you guys think?

I need resources to help me study for my A&P I class. I'm feeling very overwhelmed in just the lab class. My only resources for this stuff is my notes, and the book (book has online CDs but they aren't too effective). Any online resources out there that can get this stuff stuck in my head better?

I have been thinking about what to bring to college and just realized that the TV has never crossed to mind. It's always on in my house, I just never really notice it, but when I'm off to college without a TV, will that hurt me? Will I get TV withdrawal symptoms? Or will I be burned by work that I wouldn't have time to use it anyway?

When I enter college next year should I take french or spanish? I have already taken three years of French in highschool and have gotten all A's so far, but I want to take Spanish because I am Mexican and don't know Spanish at all. An advantage to taking French in college is that i would be in a more advanced class, but if I take Spanish I will feel better about my heritage. Which should I choose?

Hi, I am currently in a college that does not offer the major pre-pham; but I am transfering next year to a college that offers pharmacy. I want to know the main differences between a (0+6) and (2+4) pharmacy college. I know that a 2+4 requires you to apply to pharmacy school in your sophomore year of college and usually requires some papers of recommendation. Is it true that a 0+6 pharmacy school guarentee you into pharmacy school as long as you maintain the required GPA?

(My current choices are ULM and Xaxier University of New Orleans.--any suggestion on which is a better choice?)

I'm a freshman in college, and would really like to get into dental or medical school. I'm not sure if I could handle it, though. I am bright, but I've never taken any courses like organic chem or physics. How can I start to see if I can handle it?

Alright, so I haven't even started applying yet, and I'm having a break-down. I guess this could be attributed to the fact that I have no idea where I want to go yet while it seems that everyone around knows exactally what they want to do and exactally where they want to go. I guess I just don't know where to start.

I'm really interested in art and already have a pretty strong portfolio, and have been looking at a lot of art schools, but they all look pretty much the same to me. Anyone know of any good art uni/colleges that have a reputation for their photography program?

Also, I'm totally lost, helpless, and mildly petrified about even the thought of college (beleive me, I want to go, but the process is intimidating as hell). I don't know where to start...um...so, I guess...Help?

Alrighty... I am currently taking 17 credits. That is 5 regular 3 credit courses and then 1 gym activity and a lecture that I need to take. I can't take the lecture without the activity...

Alrighty... So my 5 classes consist of:

math
craft of writing 4
human interest writing
advertisting, copywriting and promotion
The American Dream

The American Dream class is an elective and I don't need it, per se. I'm a writing major, and that's a history/english class... English being literature not writing.

It's a lot of work that I don't have to do, so I'm wondering if I should suck it up or if I should drop it, because I'll have enough credits anyways.
