A radioligist goes to school for 12+ years and get's a diplomate in Radiology from the national certfiication boards after they get their MD

A radiology tech is an 18 month course anyone can take. Nurses often take it. Med school students often take it. Dental hygenists often take it, Dentists Take it, Chiropractors take it.

It gets you a license to operate an X-Ray machine on humans and to process the negatives and films.

You can't read the X-rays nor make official comments on what you see.

You just turn the dials, take the picture, process the film and leave the X-ray up for the Dentist, Doctor or Radiologist to anaylse.

Only licensed health practitoners can read the X-rays.

Dentists, Doctors, Chripractors, Osteopaths, Podiatrists, Nurse PRactitioners.

Radiologists make $200-$300,000 a year

Radiology techs make about $30-40K

A radiologist is a physician who went to medical school and has a medical degree. A Radiological Technician is a "medical professional", who has technical training. The radiologist has many more years of training and makes much more money.

A Radiologist is a doctor & the Technician isn't. I would imagine a radiologist would make more money of course, since he's a doctor.
