I just finished my freshmen year at a four year university. My GPA is a 3.0 at that school. I had taken summer classes at a community college. I finished 19 credit hour there and my GPA is a 4.0. I don't know if I should transfer to a community college to continued my second year into the pre-pharm 2 years program so I can have a higher chance of getting accepted into a pharm school with a higher GPA.

I'm considering becoming a journalist because I love writing but I'm unsure of what type of college degree is necessary, how many years in college, the salary, and what type of work a journalist does. Any other additional information would be appreciated! Thank you.

I keep hearing that medical schools don't like community colleges. is it true?
I would take the pre- med classes at a university after I transfer but the program I want to get in requires several classes that are pre- med requirements.
I have to take
principle of biology 1&2 with labs
chemistry 1&2 with labs
Calculus 1&2
English 1&2
Physics
organic Chemistry 1&2

I want to get in microbiology combined undergraduate and masters ( non thesis)

I did not get in to the school I wanted to so I decided to go to a CC... My counselor thought it was a good idea but now every one keeps saying that I am screwed.
Is it true? what should I do?
for the fall semester I am taking
Principle of biology one and lab
Chemistry and lab
College algebra
Composition one

I also work at a pharmacy. ( would that count as a positive?)
I also have over 300 volunteer hours at our hospitals ER
and I know I can get excellent recommendation letters both from the pharmacy and the volunteer office.

I don't know what I should major in, I will be going to university in two years but I don't have any ideas what I want to be in the future. Well, I love reading and general stuffs, I don't like to get into details. So is liberal arts the best choice? Are there any pre-requisites in majoring that? Does it give big bucks :p?

I mean, why do so many superficial people think your school pedigree actually matters? I personally know people that went to private institutions to study liberal arts. Ok, that is just laughable. Meanwhile, I'm studying GIS at a public school, and I'll probably be making more money than they ever will. Not that I care, just trying to make a point. Fact is, employers don't really care if you went to Yale or _________ State Uni. Get over it people. Stop kidding yourselves.

I have problem in English reading and writing. I told my tutor about that (I think that I shouldnt tell) and he and the co-ordonator recommand me to withdraw the course, they think that I will not be able to complete the course sucessfully cos academic english is required and I dont have! So its hardly to pass the course...

The choice is mine, but I'm not sure! My interest is design and hate history...The course is just started 4 wks and end in Dec. Should I try it, see how its go OR withdraw it?
I really dont know wt to do if I withdraw it...All the courses r already started! PLUS there has family pressure...they expect me I will do well! How can I tell them about this?

I'm 21 this yr n I have no more time to waste! I need advice!!!

engineering or finance/accounting

i work about 30 hours a week because i have to pay all my expenses myself(mommy and daddy can't help me out),i have just got an associates and have finished my general eds,i like both of them alot but i know engineering takes alot of time and it is kinda like a medical because professors really don't want you to have a job and want you to spend alot of time on it,on the other hand i have taken some accounting classes and know about finance and i know i will be able to study and understand the material, i am a junior and i used to declare myself as a comp sci/eng student until until my counselor said should i consider changing it or don't work so much, i had to work so i decided maybe it's time for a change, my counselor even asked me if i had a girlfriend and i said no and he said good because i won't have time for them either,so what do you thing, all comments are welcomed
