Where to go??????

My considerations at the moment: Texas A&M, Stanford, University of Colorado, Carnegie Mellon, Clemson

I have been extensively researching these places online, but that just isn't the same as actually going to the campus. Any insider info would be appreciated.

I am thinking about an engineering degree or something to do with languages (spanish).
I definitely want to study abroad.
I like to be around friendly people and places with lots of activities/clubs.
Anywhere in close proximity to skiing= AWESOME
Cost is a moderate concern.

Any other colleges that you think might work well for me?

I received my AA degree in (Technical Education & Humanities) in the Spring of 2004. Ever since I graduated from a California community college, I've been taking more classes to increase my GPA a little more.

Hopefully, I'll get to that 4 yr. college I've always wanted and that I've set my ambitions on.

Am I considered an Undergraduate?

I have one and I'm just wondering what others plan to do with it. I can't find a job that cares that I have one. I can't really find a job period that pays more than $14/hr. What will you do with your MBA???

I am worried that i will end up in a small, po-dunk college in the middle of nowhere.
Last year i ended up with a GPA of 3.83 (unweighted), took 3 honors classes and latin, and am this year taking latin II, AP World History, and 3 more honors classes. Do i have a chance to go to a good university?

I would like to major in Preveterinary, PreDentistry, or Premed... Any universities you would recommend would be terrific help...

i'm not an expert with college terms.
What is a Liberal Arts college and what is the main difference between a regular college?
or is there even such a thing as a "regular" college.

:/ Tried to research it myself, but it came to no avail.
So I apologize for taking your time to answer and read my question.

Thanks Kindly.

Hi there, my girlfriend is giving birth to our new baby in about 4months, at that time she will not be able to continue going to her lectures regularily. I was wondering if it would be illegal for one of her class mates to vocaly record the lecture & replay it back to her so she can continue in her education.

Thankyou it is much appreciated & will help alot.

Cheers

im a senior in high school. for college, i plan to go to either:

university of michigan
univ. of michigan - dearborn
wayne state university

my dad lives in michigan, but i live in alabama. is there a way i can be classified as an in-state resident without taking a year off from school?

on collegeboard's site, i found a guide to michigan's state residency and in one quote it said:

"The domicile of a dependent student is presumed to be the same as that of the student's natural parents. If only one natural parent is domiciled in Michigan, the student will be presumed to be a Michigan resident regardless of whether that parent is the student's custodial parent."

Would this qualify me as a resident? It sounds too good to be true. Is there a catch or am I not reading between the lines? Any help would be appreciated.

here's the link to the where i found the quote:

Hello RN's out there:

I am currently working on an associate's degree in an unrelated field, but am thinking about entering an RN program once I graduate. I realize that admission is extremely competitive, and have a few questions on how to improve my chances:

1. Will it be an advantage to have an associate's degree as well as a high school diploma when applying? (The RN program is in the same community college as I'm currently attending.)

2. I'm thinking about taking the required non-nursing classes before applying to the nursing program (math, anatomy & physiology, microbiology and psychology). Will having good grades in these classes improve my chances of admission?

3. The RN program accepts either an ACT or a NLN-PAX score for admission: which one do you think I should take for improved chances?

4. Will poor grades in unrelated courses taken two years ago prevent me from getting admitted, if I raise my cumulative GPA to 3.0 (preferred at this program)?

Thank you!
