It really depends upon what YOU want to do! You could get a grant and write about a specific event in history for PBS/Boston. These specials are aired on educational television and are incredible in terms of the information, stories told, and character-reenactments (ie, How America Was Made). Or author books on any number of subjects. Create a history game using computers. Apply to law school and become an attorney; you could specialize in water and land rights, etc. Teach in America or abroad. Go to graduate school, and become a professor (Ph.D.) at a university. The possibilities are endless.
I highly recommend you meet with a career counselor at your university. They have lots of resources and their services are free to ongoing and prospective students. Usually there is a career journal room nearby, updated as job listings become available.
Best wishes.

A couple of my friends just graduated with degrees in history. One girl got a job at a business for one reason... history majors do a lot of research and the company needed someone who knew where and how to get information. It didn't matter that she was used to researching for history, she is a good researcher. Some get jobs in museums, others teach or get a higher degree.
