I just finished my freshmen year at a four year university. My GPA is a 3.0 at that school. I had taken summer classes at a community college. I finished 19 credit hour there and my GPA is a 4.0. I don't know if I should transfer to a community college to continued my second year into the pre-pharm 2 years program so I can have a higher chance of getting accepted into a pharm school with a higher GPA.

Many pharmacy schools are biased against community colleges. The chances of being accepted as a pure community college students are slim. More and more students already have bachelors degrees, and so, the best way for a 2 year prepharm to remain competitive is to do his/her prepharm at a 4 year school.

Congrats on getting that 4.0 in JC. Getting a 4.0 these days seems has become much tougher considering with all of the annoyances that we all face these days.

As for transferring, I recommend that you don't do this. If you do, the admission committee will wonder why you change schools. You must come up with an excuse other than "because I want to pump up my GPA averages"

3.0 is not bad at all, however it is on the low end. You need to understand that GPA is only part of the scenario. There are other parts such as PCAT scores, work and volunterring experiences, you motivation for pharmacy and etc,
