The best way to answer a college essay is to be yourself, and completely honest. Try to make it unique to you. Remember that colleges read thousands of these entrance essays, so you want to write an essay that will make you stand out from the rest. Feel free to be funny, sarcastic, and opinionated. Colleges like to see that you can be an individual. They are all looking for students who will help add to their campus. Show them your personality.

The topic you have is very broad and can be taken in a million different directions. There is no right or wrong answer to the question. They are just using it to find out more about what makes you YOU.

It provides information about you that test scores, grades, and extracurricular pursuits just cannot. First off, outline it. Choose a strong quality about yourself and use your experiences to show how you've become that person.

After that, have a teacher or someone who isn't affraid to give you criticism read it. Not your little brother either. Someone who is intelligent on the way a college paper should look and flow. They will notice any flaws in your essay. That will make you a better writer, and show to the university that you are a competent writer.

I suggest re-writing it and re-reading it a few times. Although this is tedious, it's worth it. We're talking about college.

hope that helps, and good luck

Some independent resume writer will help you edit and get the tone colleges want. They're listed with other writers of term papers, typists and pretty reasonable as it's anybodies guess what they are looking for. Some people know. Sometimes it's like a guessing game to please them as they can be so arbitrary sometimes. They might advise you over the phone free and students on campus know. They want to back successful people and networking is a crucial skill, even more than a degree sometimes. What type of school, what degree, could you transfer later?
