I'm going to be a first-time college freshman in Engineering and I heard that it's difficult getting Engineering internships. Is it difficult? And if you graduate with a B.S. in Engineering with a decent GPA but little/no experience is it difficult to get a job?

Did all the late nights and stress catch up with you? Did you feel really knackered afterwards and did it take some time to catch up with yourself, kinda like jetlag?

I'm a junior in college, I go to school 3 hours away from home. I haven't made hardly any friends here, I've made alot of "acquaintances" you could say, but no true friends. I'm ok with that because I have an amazing boyfriend of 1.5 years, and I do everything with him. He's my best friend here. I work here and I'm involved in a few clubs, but I don't have "friends" in those. I still just feel like something is missing. I pictured college to be so different then what it actually is. I'm pretty shy around people. I can be outgoing when I have to be, but I have hard time just flat out being myself around certain people. It's hard to make alot of "close friends" at college. I'm trying to make the most of it, I'm involved on campus, and I'm going to study abroad winter semester. I just feel like something is missing, and I don't know what, any suggestions? How do you make the most of your college experience?

I'm going to be a senior this year, so I will be asking teachers and coaches for letters of recommendation. Will I be able to see the recommendation they write before I send it to college, or does it go to my guidance conselour and she sends it? For example, my english teacher as of last year went to another school this year. If I write a letter to him at his new school requesting a letter of recommendation, should I include a post stamped envelope to my house or to the school's guidance department?

I just started college and I am looking forward to going to a graduate school. The thing is I don't understand how it works. Say I wanted to major in physics in college, and then get a Ph.D in it in graduate school, how would I go about this? Do I have to pick a specific branch of physics? Do you have to take a test to get into grad school? Are the acceptance rates low for such schools?

My husband failed an entire semester of college when he was young because he quit going to all his classes. He's back in school and much more serious now but those grades are killing his GPA. Is there any way at all to get that off his record?
