Being a religious Jew since birth, I feel that it is a topic that I can passionately write about. However, I know that writing about religion can very well be a controversial topic or a typically avoided topic. I would not be writing about the concept or general overview of religion or anything involving taking sides though, I would be writing about how my religious life has affected me throughout my life. If anyone has any ideas or advice as to how I could incorporate religion into my essay I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You.

So freshman year was like hell. I failed sem 1 of algebra with a 58.7 percent. I did alot better sem2 and ended up getting a B so my algebra teacher let me retake sem1 exam to get my half credit back. I passed it and i got my half credit back. Now my counselor and math teacher told me. That out of the 600 freshman at our building 300 failed a semester of either Algebra or Geometry. And it was a 300 and some odd number. Would this really affect me getting into a college? I have a clean record never even had detention. And that was the first class i ever failed in my life. (didnt really fail though since i made it up) And would a college look to see how many kids failed math freshman year since it was half of all the freshman?

hey everyone, i need some advice. i am a senior wanting to apply for college early. i want to attend louisiana state university (lsu) next fall. i've looked at their admission requirements (minimum 3.0 and 22 on ACT.) and their required courses for admission, my gpa is a 3.555 (i average all the required grades together and divided by the number of core credits), but i have a 21 on the ACT. i want to apply early but i'm sort of scared i won't get accepted because of ACT score. The next test i could take is in oct. and that's too long for me. lsu's application deadline is april 15. someone please suggest what i should do with significant details, THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!!

for people with a B.A. from an online university despite it being regionally accredited? What are your thoughts, would you discriminate on this basis?

Right now I'm registered for 15 credits, but seriously thinking about going for 18. I'm used to a heavy workload since I transferred from a private college. The maximum at my school is 19, and 18 is recommended only if you don't work -- which is fine, since I don't anyways, haha. My courses are ...

Math (3.0)
Spanish (5.0)
History (3.0)
English (4.0)

The last class I'm considering is Microecon.

What are your thoughts and suggestions??

Thanks

My college dropped Java II, a class I need to achieve my associates degree. This is the second semester they decided not to teach it. But at this rate, it'll take me 2 1/2 years to get a 2 year degree. They also decided to stop teaching C++ in this programming degree, a class that was required when I first started there, and teach MS Access II instead. That's BS; what's the point of taking the programming major if they don't teach programming.

A friend of mine taking accounting got a couple classes "not taught", and it took her an extra semester and a summer too, with the alleged reason that not enough people were enrolled in it.

What are my options? File some sort of college version of a BBB complaint? Demand the class be taught next year at a reduced price? *shrug*.

Although my son will probably major in a technical field, such as engineering, we are also looking for a strong music school. In our neighborhood, there seems to be a rivalry among the MSU music grads and the CMU music grads. Are these the best schools for music? Why such a rivalry?

I took math 98 at the university of WA last fall. I had to take time off from school to deal with family deployemnt and move and a pregancy. I am trying to go back to school at a community college now. Two of the local community colleges have said that my transcript from UW is not complete because it shows that I took the class but does not show a grade. The university says that the class was not for credit because its not a college level class so they dont have to provide a grade. I paid for the class and dont want to have to pay for it again because I cant produce a grade. Is there any standard for transcripts or student rights that require a college to give a student proof of thier passing grade. I did pass the class All I want is something showin my passing grade. Is there any way I can make the college give me that?

I'm a Community College Student and I have taken a multitude of classes and of course I am hoping to get my A.A degree and then my B.A. degree and then on to graduate school. I am hoping to get joint degrees in M.B.A./J.D., I want to become a lawyer. My question is that with the classes I am obtained so far, I can either get a A.A in either Social and Behavioral Science OR History. I was wondering from your guys opinions which would be better. Social and Behavioral Science is a section of different classes (i.e, business, economics, history, geography, sociology, psychology, political science, admin of justice classes, geology etc.) History is just history classes with some economic and political science in there. There is not much to do with a A.A. in History except sub teach and be a paralegal assistant, that's all I've seen. Which degree would be better. I will be transferring to a 4 year college.

Any help is greatly appreciated thank you!
