i come from a disadvantaged household and from a tragic death in a family..
i have gotten a 2.8 as a uc gpa....will i be considered for the admissions by exception?

my essay and letters prove why and how ive overcome it. i know my gpa didnt meet the requirement...but it wasnt intentional...
it just wasnt......

Has anybody done the CIMA foundation course ? Looks like it costs about £2000 - is it worth it from a salary increase point of view ? I do M/I stuff now, the course looks pretty simple at that level so I don;t see what other benefits it would offer. And would there be any point if you didn't intend to continue with the full qualification ?

my sats were not good at all..
1390/2400..
my gpa overall for uc was i believe a 2.8..
1s on all aps (3 of them)

before people go off on me, i live in a vey disadvantaged household, lacking financial support...this was due to my mother's illness after my father's tragic death.

i have decided (although my acdemics were very difficult to obtain with the struggles i was battling with) i have exceeded in school by doing an excellent EC and leadership position for 4 years of my high school of that same EC..

my personal essay had shone them about everything of what ive been through but mostly how ive overcome this issue for the better.

i have applied 2 ucla, uci, ucsb, ucd, ucr, and ucsd.

i dont know how much impact my personal essay will pursue them to take my obstacles into consideration not to mention my way of moving on for an overbearing, but exceptional life.

id really like to get into ucla..or uci for that matter. please B very generous and help me out.ive already been thru much

My major is Fine art and i'm planning to apply to US art school.
I want to know fine art schools which do not care about SAT exam. What about Academy of Art University in SF? I'm thinking i'll apply Television Motion if i go AAU. I read about their admission and AAU(Academy of Art University) asks for $500deposit. Is deposit refundable?

At the moment, I am a student in college and my major is hospitality management and tourism. Well, I recently added a science 1010 (online) class which is a combination of chemistry, physics and geology. Well, my prof. requires us to do these experiments. Most of them are not hard, but I don't have the time to focus on science. After all, I am a Tourism major.. why do I need science?!? Anyway, does anyone know a website online that has an explanation of experiments so I won't have to do them. I am not a lazy person, but I need to be focusing on my other classes instead of this one. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Bachelors degree from George Mason University and looking to get another because I'm looking to change careers from IT to photojournalism. There are no affordable graduate programs or options in the Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. area so the best thing I could think of is to get another Bachelors in photojournalism, mass communications, or a similar field. I've also looked at distance learning, but again, the options are few to non-existent. My worries are if I try to go for another Bachelors in another major, the colleges/universities will make me take general education classes that I've already taken in my previous Bachelor's. Am I better off with a certificate in photojournalism?

I skipped out on one of my graduate school interviews. The airfare and hotel was paid for. Can they legally send me a bill for this if I didn't cancel within 24hrs??

I never signed anything!!! Well I signed the application to apply to the school but it never mentioned I have to pay anything if i didn't attend. HELP!
