I skipped out on one of my graduate school interviews. The airfare and hotel was paid for. Can they legally send me a bill for this if I didn't cancel within 24hrs??

I never signed anything!!! Well I signed the application to apply to the school but it never mentioned I have to pay anything if i didn't attend. HELP!

I really hope skipped out for a good reason. I don't know if they'll send you a bill or not. The hotel probably isn't a problem (they could get a refund), but the airfare definitely is a problem. You shouldn't have said you could go if you couldn't. If you decided to attend somewhere else, you still should have made good on your promise. I don't think they'll be too happy about it. They probably can't MAKE you pay for it, though it would be the courteous thing to since you never showed up.

Well did you have to RSVP? And if you did, was there fine print that could have said something like failure to attend or notify us within 24 hours may result in payment?

I can't really answer your question because I have no idea, but, if they offered to pay for your hotel and airfare, and it went to waste, it sounds to me like they would most likely contact you to pay for it. That's the worse case scenario. But the good news is, if you have a good reason as to why you didn't attend, I'm sure they wont hold it against you.
Good luck!

Be neat! seem professional! placed on a company style outfit. Please do no longer take place in a mini or have the plunging neckline that is going all the way down to you pubic bone. you think of that humorous? I used to do preliminary interviews for the Dean in Graduate college at the same time as i grew to become into engaged on my PhD. you haven't any longer any concept of what I observed, and how many have been grew to become down because of the fact even the main liberal campus can no longer sanction a see by way of shirt with the female wearing her birthday fit.

Well, good luck getting in now. I hope you didn't want to go there. As for the payment, you might want to check the fine print. I'm not really sure how they could force you to pay the bill unless you signed something specifically regarding situations like this.
