Is this true or is it a myth? I went to college, but for several reasons had to stop...now I want to go back....but I have no money saved up and a student loan, which I have not paid on and I keep getting the bill....actually it may even be in collections....I am also white, no kids, and have always held a job....so I don't think I could get a grant or anything. I want to go back so bad and get my degree...but it just seems too out of reach for a person like me. Am I right?

Im 19, catholic, (layman) and I want to leave right away, so i'll be working for the money to go or should I go to college and learn something before I go, I would rather go now because surely I would be trained by the missionaries once there. So my question is should I go now or should I study, is it nessecary?

It seems so many people feel pressured to go to college, but then do not know what to major in. Then either, graduates do or do not know what they want to do with their life... was that you? When and how did you come to what you do now?

I keep getting invitations from this company/organization called "People to People" about their "Future Leaders Summit 2007".

What's your take on this company/organization? Is it credible? (I'm sorry to have to ask this but I'm not familiar with this company nor its summits)
Opinions about its summits/programs?

Would really like to hear from people who do know about this.
Thank you very much.

Is it a strong career? I either want to go into that or teaching for kindergarten. I can't decide. I think I would be better and more comfortable as a graphic designer but a kindergarten teacher sounds like a strong career and is exciting. But then again I think I'm leaning more toward design... Does anyone know how the career field outlook for graphic designers are right now? Thanks.. :)

Well, this courses are very apart from each other. I have two choices: Accounting in a top university and a very good business school (De La Salle University-Manila in the Philippines) and Nursing in a very good university as well which specializes in that course (University of Santo Tomas). I'm still undecided until now. I need a decision asap. Can someone give me a background on these 2 courses? Also, please help me decide. Give the pros and cons or anything you know about those courses. I also want to work abroad. I can't decide what I like more. Please help me. Thanks!

I have a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction/ Education with a 4.0 GPA from an accredited university. I also have a bachelors in Education and experience as a teacher and teacher trainer in public schools. I am looking to for other career opportunities outside of the public schools. I could get my educational leadership degree and go into administration, however, I'm not really interested in this avenue. I could also work on my PhD in education and become a professor or work in developing standardized tets or measuring devices for such tests. What could I do in the business field? What else could I do? What should I do? How much time, effort, and money will this take? Any ideas? Details: I currently have two young children. I'm in my late twenties. I live in Flordia. I am married and it would be difficult to move somewhere in another state due to his job, but not impossible

I just started going to college this semester and right now I am taking developmental classes that I need. I am unsure about my major I was thinking probably biology or chemistry. The school I attend has a nursering program where you can get an associate's in nursing or a bacchuarale in nursing. Would that count as a degree to get into med school or not? I want to know because that way if the doctor thing doesnt work out I can always fall back on being a head nurse.

I am currently a undergraduate who can attain my bachelors degree in 2 more years at my local college. However I was transfering. I feel that even though I excel academically at this college, I am not enjoying it. Its hard for me to relate to most of the male students here because everyone seems to not do school work and they like to act bad. I want to go to a school where I can compete against top notch students and have intelligent conversations with people who will be successful. I dont like the college atmosphere here the only thing people do for fun is dance and I want to be able to attend a big university so I can watch football and go to more functions. Secondly, I feel that its hard for me to get girls here because when I first came some of them thought I was a nerd and dont think I can change to give them a good time. Do you think these reasons are worth transfering?

In fall 2007, i will be going off to college at UMSL and i have no idea what im going to study. I know it's fine NOT to know what you're going to do but i want some ideas of careers relating to my interests. I have considered being a graphic designer but i want to make a little more money than that. THEN i thought about indutrial design but the college MAY or MAY not offer that. Then i thought about something in marketing and advertising and i am still thinking about that. I like computers but i'm not a mathaholic. Math is my least favorite subject and English and Art are my best subjects. Can anyone recommend some majors or careers that pertain to my interests. Thanks in Advance
