I am currently a undergraduate who can attain my bachelors degree in 2 more years at my local college. However I was transfering. I feel that even though I excel academically at this college, I am not enjoying it. Its hard for me to relate to most of the male students here because everyone seems to not do school work and they like to act bad. I want to go to a school where I can compete against top notch students and have intelligent conversations with people who will be successful. I dont like the college atmosphere here the only thing people do for fun is dance and I want to be able to attend a big university so I can watch football and go to more functions. Secondly, I feel that its hard for me to get girls here because when I first came some of them thought I was a nerd and dont think I can change to give them a good time. Do you think these reasons are worth transfering?

It is worth transfering for the academic reasons but not really the other ones completely,
I was having alot of fun and made a bunch of friends at a rather mediocre university but like you i wanted to compete with some intelligent people not just drink every day.
So i transfered my junior year....didnt have as much fun at my second school but it was such a difference academically and now my degree is much more valuable..
Best decision i ever made.

If I were you I would DEF transfer. You need to experience the college life. Also if you are not happy at the college then you will not want to go and will not be as successful. I transfered b/c of some of the same reasons and am SO much happier! Def transfer!

Yes, college students in general are idiots (not meaning you) you need better stimuli. College is just a giant version of high school, but with more alcohol. You should get out of there into a better environment and look for people who actually will be succesful later in life like yourself.

Yes, you should transfer to a more academic college. Don't count on it improving your chances with girls, though. Ask a good friend what you are doing wrong to find a date.

It's absolutely worth transferring - but make sure your credits will transfer - apply for an Associate's Degree - that will help.
As for the women, contact me privately about that.
