I intend to take up engneering and science double degree, and focus on nanotech research, what do you think? anybody can advise me?

Having a double major can be a real plus on your resume, especially when your majors are related (as they are in your case.) Your second major can give you an edge over your competition because it is something extra that not all candidates will have. That being said, you probably wouldn't have trouble finding a job as an engineer anyway, but the advantage of a double major may help you get the job you want. If you enjoy both majors and are willing to do the extra work that it takes, you should go for it.

It's going to be a lot more work, but if it's what you're really interested in, then there's no reason not to do it. Also, if a lot of the courses can double-count, then you should be able to do it in 4 years...if not, you're probably looking at 5

You can always major in one and then minor in the other. Another choice is get an undergraduate degree in one and then go to graduate school in the other (or as in my case, get an undergraduate degree in one, graduate degree in another, and then medical school to finish it off).
