I keep getting invitations from this company/organization called "People to People" about their "Future Leaders Summit 2007".

What's your take on this company/organization? Is it credible? (I'm sorry to have to ask this but I'm not familiar with this company nor its summits)
Opinions about its summits/programs?

Would really like to hear from people who do know about this.
Thank you very much.

I have heard of this Group.
When my kids were in High School, I think my olders son was invited to the summit because he had gone to Boys State.
He did not go because I believed that they were loosely selected and the cost to go was high. It turns me off when you have to pay to go. If they are trying to build future leaders, the government should pay for building the leader.
Another one that my son did go to was the Leadership program to Wash DC. It was good but it was very expensive.
They kept trying to get all the Civil Air Patrol Cadets there.
They say they go by grades and participation but it seemed they took any cadet we sent. I figured out it was structured for Money.
My suggestion is to search the net, even google it. See what you get.
Even call contacts and ask questions. So many of these groups are structured as "For Profit".
What will you get out of the Program, and is it worth the Price?

I've heard that it's a real program, but in my opinion, not worth it. If you're going to study abroad, do it right.

AFS and YFU are happy to take you for a real trip.
