I got accepted to UC Davis and UC Irvine but got rejected from UC San Diego. Is it possible to still get accepted at UCLA, even though this happened? what are my chances?

I am most likely going to UC Irvine, majoring in Public Health. However, that department just opened in 2003. Since it is such a new department, is that bad? I would like to know the overall feel of UC Irvine, and intersting things to do there. Also, which dorms are the best? Thank you for helping.

I had some really big BAD stuff going on in my high school years, I couldn't focus on my studies. I was barely able to go to school.
I had a 2.5 GPA and an SAT score of 1400 (new SAT). I think I can do better if I take it again because I was so slow, I missed about 30% of the question. I think I can get 1600 if I take it again.

I wanna get into any four-year college. I wanna major in biology. I really don't want to a community college (don't ask why). Do you think it's my only choice?

I really want to attend a particular college because of its location and great academics. It is a private college affiliated with the United Methodist church. I have a full tuition scholarship. The only thing I may have against this school is that I am not religious and am scared I won't fit in there, or that the staff may look down upon me for not attending chapel. I am not a satanist or anything like that, but I don't subscribe to organized religion because I think it's corrupt.

My political views are liberal and I consider myself an independent or democrat. I'm a little afraid of being lynched.

Has anyone has any experience with this? Any ideas as to how I can gain a better perspective of how seriously religion is taken at this school?

I do know that there are no religious requirements for students to be admitted and that once admitted a student is not required to attend chapel.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I've never taken college courses before and I'm considering maxing out my summer with 16 units but I'm debating about that. Are summer college courses generally difficult? Do people study 3-4 hours per class each day?

My personal long term goal is to save money for travelling the world. I will do this by getting a permanent job. When I am working at my permanent job, when I get paid I will save ten percent of it, into my savings account, for each time that I get paid, so that I have enough money to travel to a different location of the world when I am allowed to.

Soon I will be going for a visit to an out of state university that I am very seriously considering attending. I just want some pointers as to what I should expect, questions I should ask, and things I should ask to see.

I would like to sit in on a class and tour the dorms, but what are some other things I should consider that I might not think of on my own?

All answers are welcome, but answers from students of parents of students, especially those who attended out of state schools, are most appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I'm an international student in the US and can't decide what type of school to go to. I'm not sure whether I learn better in a small class environment or in big lectures. I desire the individual attention of a small school but still yearn for the internships and other opportunities that big schools offer. have you come across a book that helped you get off the fence?

If there is some mistakes and not organized well I would be very appreciative if you correct them and share with more ideas .

First of all,Americans place great importance on the need for privacy. However Iranians do not . Americans usually enjoy spending time alone. It keeps them in touch with themselves. Besides that, they have their own possessions. You can expect that they would construct a set of regulations and rules to protect their privacy and to ensure that certain information will remain unknown.

I once got in fight.

It wasn't major.

The guy hit me thrice, so I punched him once.

However, (it is so unfair) but I got 3 days suspension!

Will minor fight in second year of high school affect my admission to college?

Thank you!
