Stanford Admission?

Question

Have you or know someone that has been accepted to Stanford? Could you please describe what kind of impressive things were in your transcript (GPA, SAT, other extracurricular activites/achievments).

I know of one girl who got into Stanford last year... she was valedictorian, a member of the field hockey team (they were state champions last year and the year before), member of the fencing team. I don't know how she did on the SAT, but I can imagine her scores were incredible. I also know that she took many AP courses, including French, which she minors in now. She's intense.
Not to scare you, or anything, but another girl in her grade (they're both freshmen in college now) who I'm more friendly with also applied to Stanford and got deferred. She was accepted into Harvard, Yale, and Princeton (she goes to Princeton now). One of my best friends applied to Stanford, too...she doesn't have super-intense e.c.'s, but her grades and test scores are really high, and she's also pretty athletic. She was rejected, and she applied early decision.

Well there is one easy way to get into Stanford...have your parents working there as professors. My school is on the other side of the street from Stanford and people that shouldn't have gotten in did...I'm talking about...well lets just say that they were smoking more than cigarettes in the school bathrooms...
