i intend to go to texas tech school of pharmcy, i'm currently a high school senior, i checked their website, and it said you do not need a batchelors to get admitted. they also gave a list of their prerequisites, and mentioned the college or university you fulfilled them in didn't matter. they also listed a numerous amout of school where you can fulfil these pre-reqs, and el-centro college was one. is there any disadvantage taking my pre-reqs at a community college? how can i also get pharmacy experience before applying to pharm school?

I'm a 24 y.o. african-american female that's thinking about moving from North Carolina. I have lived here all my life and I kind of want a change of pace. I want to know a great city that has everything a younger adult would like. I'm looking for affordable housing(I will be renting), great nightlife, great history, other young adults, available jobs(I'm a nursing assistant and phlebotomist now), and all around great people to meet. Please only serious answers, not the one sentences ones. Also maybe places that have decent colleges because I'm thinking about getting back into school.

If I have attended 2 schools but only send a transcript from one to a school I am transferring to will they find out? I know I will lose my credits from the university, but that is fine. Also, I didn't not accpt any federal aid, although an offer was made to me. Any help is appreciated.

I have a bachelor's degree in accounting and am a licensed CPA with a few years of experience in the field. I'd like to pursue a PhD in business (at a top school) and don't want to get a Master's if it's not really necessary. If an admissions officer came across my application and everything was strong, but I had no Master's, what would be my chances of getting into the program?

My friend in my Theology class asked me a few days ago for advice if he should drop a class from his schedule. He said if he drops a class he will still be a full time student but this one class will bring his GPA down because he said he has "a messed up teacher from hell", How does dropping a class in college work? and should he drop this class because he showed me his first semester transcript and it was pretty impressive except for one class. He said he dont wanna make the same mistake twice so he needs my advice. I said go talk to your advisor he said I will but i need your advice just in case.I said what classes your taking and what grades are you gonna get. Global Studies A- or A, Speech B+ or A- Theology A- or A and English B- or B and his class from hell Discover New York which he said he might get a C+ or even lower like in the D range. What should he do? Any suggestions?
P.S Joe, hope you dont get mad.

i had very decent grades (A's and B's) before my first quarter of organic chemistry, in which I got a C+. I know that this is going to jeopardize any chances of me getting into med school. What should I do?? I am very disappointed and scared. I am going to be taking my second quarter of organic chemistry...any tips for me?

Please, this is very serious...i want serious answers. Thanks!

I am an bioenginnering student at temple universtiy, i am a freshman (2nd sem), i probably will have a decent freshmen avg. like 3.4 . I havent taken bio1 yet, and sense the engineering program is packed with a lot of classes, i reallly dont have time to take some pre-med classes, is it okay to take some pre-med classes during summer school at a community college. (ie. corning community college)? will it make a difference, or hurt my chances, if i take some pre-med classes (bio1) at a community college?

I have a friend that is a programming major, and the funny thing is these classes make him buy 400+ dollar software along with tuition and books just to actually take the class, the student discounts are crap (seriously how many college students live off a min wage job, 200 dollars is a lot of money to someone who earns min wage).

Whats funny is that he has to end up "using less legal means" to get the software he needs for class, which he doesn't even use unless its for the class, and ends up uninstalling it after the semester is over. Hes even go so far as to attempt to petition the dean of the computer science division to use open source software, but sadly it would cut funding and the college would have to lay off teachers and facility.

Anyway, does anyone else think its becoming harder to be a student these days?

If you can, you'll get best answer and correctly answer a question required for understanding of higher order logic:

In the land of Xodarap there is a palace. You are stuck on a one way road in this land. You are trying to reach the palace so you can escape Xodarap. You know there are two types of people that live in Xodarap - people that ALWAYS lie and people that ALWAYS tell the truth.

On the road you come to a fork, at this fork a native of Xodarap is standing. You do not know if he is a native that always lies or always tell the truth. You do not know which way leads to the palace. He says he will answer one question and one question only.

What question do you ask the native to find out which way leads to the palace?
