I am 23 & considering going college for the first time. I really want to try to better myself and find a good job. I'm not sure what field I should specialize in or what Major to choose. My weak subjects are math&advanced sciences. So The less math&science required the better :) Thanks for any advice!

It looks like many of the degrees that are best or offer the most opportunities are the ones you want to avoid -- math and science.

The easiest (in my opinion) is probably Sociology -- or some other similar soft subject. However, they do not offer much in the way of opportunity.

Being a few years older and realizing that you should get something that provides an opportunity for you -- I would suggest that you get a degree in business. Finance and accounting both involve a bit of math -- so you may want to get your degree in management, strategy or marketing.

Don't avoid taking at least a few classes that will be challenging to you. You should understand something about Math -- even if you don't have to do much.

Do you want to go to a careers college or are you going to pay the extra money and go to a full university? I was always told nursing was a growing field. Oh, but that does have a bit of science andmath. Well, accounting, finance and computers You can bet will be fun and make you money too. Computers are always a good bet. Fixing and Running them, typing corporate reports on them, creating new programs, learning web design or drafting. There are dozens of these degree programs. The careers office at the school you choose can help you to decide while you are taking your lower level freshman classes before you begin taking classes for the major you pick unless as i said you pick a career college like the computer ones that advertise on tv. Google or ask.com and look up "top paying jobs of 2006" and see what you get.
Good luck finding your future career. And don't forget, if you don't like what you're doing, you can always change your direction. The goal is to get a flexible degree, you can always take your education and find another job in a related field! It will never be a wasted effort.

Many colleges will let you join as an 'undecided' major. You take a bunch of general classes that are designed to help you decide what's best for you. Then after a year or so, you decide on a major and start taking those classes. I would suggest going to a state school though. They're a LOT cheaper and there's more variety.
Good luck!
