I am thinking of enrolling in one of their on-line courses. All the feedback I get is from their website, which can be pretty biased. If you are studying with them in an on-line course, please give me your comments and advice. Thank you in advance.

hi, i'm a pretty okay student, mostly B+ and A-s, and sometimes As, and rarely Bs. (but they do happen...) i was just wondering which college could be the best. maybe something that's like U-of-M, or Cornell, something that maybe i have a chance in, and it can't be too expensive!!! i can't get loans...

i dont have liscense because i cant afford the insurance. i have job but i only make 7 dollars an hour for three hours. its the only job i can get because i dont have a ride to anything else. i can afford maybe fifty dollars a month for school but i cant find anything. ireally want to further my education.

Job vs. Career vs. fulltime student... big dilema and need a little advice!?

So I was recently offered a career in Life annuity and Insurance sales, at a pretty prominent company in my area, It goes along with my business major. I'm 20, and I'm in college, bored out of my mind with it, tired of being broke, and tired of being dependent so much on my parents, because no regular job seems to pay enough and give enough hours to allow me to do this. I can easily graduate in 2009 with no real work experience, hopefully making 35,000 a year. My parents are against me having a career right now because they think i'm really into school, but i'm not! I loathe it, and only continue to go so that they will support me until I can support myself, they just want me to work a regular job at the mall or something which I DON'T WANT! any real advice? Oh and I don't have the best grades, the are very mediocre!

I've applied to and was accepted to numerous colleges, but my favorite campus and the one that suits my needs is Florida Tech; however, from first-hand experience and second-hand stories, I've heard that many snakes are native to the campus and this part of Florida. Any ideas about how to handle this?

I am a High School Sophomore in a North Carolina high school (so I am in state). My current GPA is a 4.25, but I have done the calculations and if I get A's in all my classes next year I will have around a 4.6 (I regret slacking off a little this year and my freshman year, but have only recieved 4 B's and am taking all honors classes and 4 AP classes next year.) I am in the Key Club, Treasurer of SADD Club, Non-fiction editor of our school literary magazine, captain of my homeroom, and sophomore class representative for our school's business alliance. I am in a community service club outside of school and volunteer frequently at the local hospital. My mom, dad, and my sister went to UNC Chapel Hill and my mom gives a lot of money annually to the nursing program (if that counts any). I know that my essays will be above average; I have not yet taken my SATs but am hessitant to say I will score above average. I plan to apply early admission senior year. can i get into unc chapel hill?

I'm a little confused about the Library and Information Sciences here in Ontario. There are Masters Degrees available, but there are also diplomas from colleges that I can get too. Is there a major difference between the two, and if so what is it?

For my english class I need to write an essay about a persons image reputation vs. reality.
The person has to be well known so I can find a good book on them and should be somewhat controversial.
Please help me think of some people I can choose to write my essay on.
Just provide me a with list of some people including a brief description of their reputation and what they were in reality.

Examples:
Marilyn Monroe, reputation-classy sex icon, reality-drug addict

General Custer, myth- brave war hero, reality-hard headed and lead his troops to death caught up in his own fame

Even though i got accepted to a university, i think i may be opting for the community college transfer system so i could be closer to home. when i do get transfered [and i'm sure i will since a program makes it guaranteed], is that when i begin taking the classes i need for Pharmacy school? or can i take it in CC too?

in addition, is it better to just go straight to university, or do the community college + university way? do they consider this when looking at my application for Pharm school.

I live in Chicago and would like to apply for graduate studies in clinical psychology. Its been many years since I graduated from college (over 15). I graduated from an ivy league school and the academics were quite difficult. I was only an average student (B- average). If I had gone to a community college for example, my GPA would have been much better. In the past I have avoided applying to graduate school because I didn't have a B average in college. I didn't think I would get in. But I find that I must get a higher degree in order to succeed in life these days. What can I do to get in? What are my options?

Did you find that their requirements were very strict? I have lousey credit and one former arrest from 8 yrs ago (no prior convictions though). But I'm VERY good at what I do. Well, I was not hired after 2 months of grueling interviews, letters of recommendation, questions about my family, my age, a background check, questions about prior criminal activity, etc....and told they decided on another candidate by the HR person.

Well I was careerbuilder.com this morning and the university is still advertising the opening. So I called them and they are still taking applications! Weeks ago, when asked why I wasn't hired or what I could do to strengthen my candidacy, they wouldn't give me any direct answers. I was only told they had several extremely qualified candidates to apply (myself included) and that they are looking for the right fit. They also said, they did not do a background check on me, that they decided not to proceed with my application. Why lie about hiring someone else?
