Basically, I crapped my way through high school, but I still know a bit of Algebra to get by. I'm planning on going into the air force next year and want to do good on my entrance exam (ASVAB). So I want to take some basic classes in various subjects such as electronics, mechanics, physics in order to increase my knowledge in various important subjects before I take the Air Force ASVAB. One class that I want to take next semester is Applied Physics, but there is a prerequisite, Intermediate Algebra, which I haven't yet taken. I would like to know if there is any way I can take this class (Applied Physics) without taking the prerequisite (intermediate Algebra)? I have a feeling that I can take the physics class, but it just won't count towards my college credits. If this is the case, my question then becomes, if I decide to take Applied Physics before taking the Intermediate Algebra Prereq, can I obtain the credits for the physics class once I take the Prereq at a later date?

After college I want to live/work in europe. I was woundering if it would be better to go to a university in europe(I would be an international student) instead of home in north america? I would be looking to get a bachlor degree(I heard it takes 3 years to get one there?).

I am smart and quick on the uptake, but at heart I'm a laidback kind of guy who likes to procrastinate and enjoy life. I'm the kind of guy who can write a decent term paper overnight and doesn't see the point of doing more work than necessary. I get excellent grades but this is more due to being intelligent, NOT hard work.

Is going to grad school a good idea? If I do, should I choose a prof with my type of mentality? Would a workaholic prof be a really bad idea?

Ok, I am going to school for Dental Hygiene, but you have to wait awhile to get into the program. So, while I wait I just need to take classes to fill up time so I can still be a full time student. My question is.. I've always wanted to learn to draw and paint. I can not do either. Is it a bad idea to take a general drawing and painting class next semester? Or do I have to have SOME knowledge in how to draw, or is that what I will be learning. I go to a junior college. Thanks for any help!

COLORADO TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY ONLINE (CTU) claims that they provide a great program. However they will keep having you take the same classes over and over. They are money grubbers! DON'T TAKE ANY CLASSES WITH CTU ONLINE. What do you think?

i was wondering, when i go to college, i wnat to either be a dietician/food scientist or an english/spanish translator. how does this work at college, can you take a language major and a minor that has nothing to do with it, or do all of your minors revolve around your major?

I didn't do well in High School due to personal problems, can I make it up in community college and then go to a top university such as ivy leagues? What are the possibilities? What would you have to do to make up for a flaw? I didn't cheat or anything like that.... I've been in depression. It seems many people who apply are perfect... What I mean is, it seems they haven't flawed...

i struggle in math. i REALLY REALLY am passionate about it. i seriously think about it EVERYDAY. im really interested in biology & health, and everything that has to do with medicine. i dont know if i can fulfill my dream if i am not that great in math. i got A's in biology & health, but math, i dont know. i know its extremely hard to become a doctor and have to go into med school & take all of those tests, but i cant see myself becoming anything else other than some kind of doctor. my parents always encourage me to do well in school. i DO, except in math, and i know math is something you gotta know if you want to be a doctor. i need help or something. i just want to know if i can become a doctor someday, even if im not the best in math. help? i havent changed my mind about becoming a doctor for about a year now.
