I was thinking about getting an online degree cause i just don't have the time to sit in a class. Is that a good ideal? Any suggestions??

I currently go to Univeristy of Phoenix online. I like it because the classes are only five weeks long, so you can take one class at a time and you still complete the same amount of classes you would if you took 4 in one semester. I like online classes because I can go to class and do my school work whenever I want. If I want to go to class at 1am, I can do it. It is frustrating sometimes though because the five week classes are packed with work and sometimes it can be overwhelming. The online classes are expensive though. I pay 750 dollars a class. I have heard of other online colleges such as Univeristy of Maryland online, and the classes are longer. Do a search on the internet. Good luck!

Why don't you have time to sit in classes?

Work? Family?

Generations of students have successfully completed degrees while balancing their time with such demands at traditional Universities while taking classes at night, on the weekends, in the summer by correspondence and even online.

There is a big difference between just taking courses from any odd "online only" company and having a goal and acheiving a degree. The high standards, real professors, success, and seriousness of traditionals Universities cannot be compared to some of the worst "online degrees".

Realistically very few careers will respect a degree earned with little interaction with traditional professors.

Why not try out community college and see how valuable the time can be before getting sucked into the huge prices that online places can ask?

My best friend received his business degree from the University of Phoenix Online. The classes are pretty pricey but he finished it and was able to get a decent job with the degree. I helped him study some and to tell you the truth some of the online classes were harder than if you were sittin in a classroom in a traditional college. Alll in all if you have the extra money I would say it is worth the investment. Just make sure it is a reputable university.

Don't go to CTU online Colorado Technical University Online they are rip offs. They will have you thinking that you are going to graduate with a Bachelors or a Masters Degree. Then one session before your last class session they will fail you. They make you think that you are stupid and that it is your fault.

When they are just trying to reach their quota for another semester. It is all about money remember that. It has nothing to do with academics. It is about how much revenue they can generate. Go to a regular traditional university with walls. It will be worth it.
